About Rodent Control Seattle

exclusion-first rodent control, built for Pacific Northwest homes

We are a King County rodent control company that approaches pest problems the way a building contractor approaches construction: find every gap, seal every gap, confirm the seal holds. Our focus is exclusion-first work that produces lasting results.

Our Story

Built around exclusion, not around repeat visits.

The founder of this company spent years in pest control before operating independently. The pattern kept repeating: bait stations went in, the population dropped, entry points stayed open, and new rodents moved in within weeks. Customers kept calling back with the same problem.

The fix is mechanical exclusion. Close every gap the rodents use to enter the building, clear what is already inside, and confirm the seals are holding. When that is done properly, the problem is resolved. Any service program worth having is built on that foundation.

We built this company around the exclusion-first approach and have operated in King County since founding. We know the specific housing characteristics of Ballard's bungalows, Queen Anne's older craftsman homes, West Seattle's hillside properties, and the pier-and-beam construction common across the pre-1960 housing stock throughout the region.

How We Operate

King County Only

We work exclusively in King County. No franchise territory, no traveling crews. Every technician who arrives at your property has worked this region and knows Seattle-area housing inside and out.

Transparent Service

Every job is scoped, quoted, and approved before work starts. Property managers and commercial clients can request re-inspection visits at any frequency that fits their needs.

Our Process

From your first call to confirmed clearance. Six steps.

01

You Call

You describe what you are seeing or hearing. We ask a few questions about the home: age, foundation type, whether you have heard sounds and where. Usually we can narrow down the likely species and entry zone before we arrive.

02

Inspection

We walk the property systematically: crawlspace, attic, interior spaces, and full exterior perimeter. Every entry point is documented in writing and photographed. We tell you exactly what we found and where.

03

Clear Quote

Based on the inspection, we give you a complete quote before any work starts. Exclusion materials, traps, labor, and follow-up are all included in the scope. You approve before we proceed.

04

Exclusion

We seal every identified entry point with galvanized steel mesh, closed-cell foam, and exterior-grade caulk appropriate for the surface and Seattle's wet climate. The seal goes in before the traps.

05

Trapping

After exclusion, we deploy snap traps along active runways inside the structure. We account for Norway rat neophobia by allowing a few days before the first check. We return to remove catch and confirm activity is declining.

06

Follow-Up and Close

We return within two weeks to confirm trap activity has stopped, every seal is intact, and no new activity has developed. The job closes when we are confident the infestation is cleared. That is the confirmation you need.

Why We Are Different

Exclusion is the part that most bait programs skip.

Many pest control programs focus on bait and population management. They reduce the number of rodents inside the structure. They do not close the entry points that let the next generation in. The population recovers and the cycle continues.

Our approach starts with sealing the building. Every identified gap is closed before any trapping begins. When the building is properly sealed and the existing population cleared, the problem is resolved. That is the standard we hold every job to.

Transparent pricing

Full quote after inspection. Full scope approved before the job starts. No billing surprises.

Exclusion-first

We seal before we trap. Without exclusion, the population recovers. This is the only approach that produces permanent results.

Species-appropriate

We identify the rodent before choosing a strategy. Norway rats, roof rats, house mice, and deer mice each require a different approach.

Honest scope

We tell you what we find, including what is outside our scope. We do not sell services you do not need.

Documented work

Every entry point is photographed. You get a written record of what was sealed and where.

Service Area

All of Seattle. All of King County.

We run calls seven days a week across all Seattle neighborhoods and King County suburbs including Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Renton, Kent, Federal Way, Shoreline, Edmonds, Burien, Tukwila, SeaTac, and Mercer Island. Same-day slots are available most days for calls received before noon.

We do not take work outside King County, because we would rather turn down a job than send someone who cannot get there in time to be useful. If you are just outside our coverage area, call and ask. If we cannot help, we will say so directly and suggest who can.

Ready to solve the problem, not just manage it.

One call, a free phone assessment, and a clear picture of what needs to happen. We can usually tell you on the phone whether you are dealing with Norway rats, roof rats, or mice before we arrive.

We do a free phone assessment before coming out. Tell us what you are seeing, we narrow down the situation, and you decide if you want a visit. No commitment required to make the call.
